I am a veteran ESL educator with experience teaching inmates in a California prison, junior secondary students as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Botswana, high school students in New York City public schools, and college students in Chicago at Harold Washington College and the City College of San Francisco. I also directed a summer ESL language program in Holland and was the Education Director of the Michael Mao Dance Company's ESLdance Project in New York City.
I graduated with a B.A. in English and Linguistics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned an M.A. in TESOL from Columbia University, Teachers College. I also consult as a textbook reviewer, contributor, and curriculum developer. My interest in technology in education and social media keeps me up late at night!
